Convert WebP, JPG and PNG Images

HandyKitz converts images directly inside your browser. Your images are never uploaded to our server.

What formats can I convert?

You can convert WebP, JPG and PNG images into WebP, JPG or PNG. This makes it easy to change an image into a format supported by the website, application or device you are using.

Why convert images to WebP?

WebP is a modern image format designed to provide good image quality while keeping file sizes relatively small. It is commonly used for images on websites.

Does HandyKitz upload my images?

No. Conversion happens locally in your browser. Your image files stay on your device.

Practical example

Pick the format your destination accepts. PNG supports transparency; JPG replaces transparency with a solid background and uses lossy compression.

If an app rejects a WebP picture, choose JPG for a photo or PNG when transparency matters. Review the converted image before using it in the app.

Choose WebP to JPG, WebP to PNG or convert to WebP

Choose a conversion shortcut before selecting images. WebP to JPG enables a background color because JPG cannot retain transparency; WebP to PNG hides the quality slider because PNG export does not use that setting.

For a transparent PNG that you need as WebP, select PNG to WebP and add the PNG. For a WebP photo needed as JPG, select WebP to JPG instead. Clear the loaded batch before switching shortcuts.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the quality slider disappear for PNG?

PNG output is lossless, so this converter does not apply the lossy quality setting to it. Quality controls apply to JPG and WebP output.

What happens if I convert a transparent image to JPG?

Transparent areas are filled with the selected background color. Choose that color before converting, since JPG cannot retain transparency.

Will converting to PNG undo earlier JPG compression?

No. PNG can preserve the currently decoded pixels, but changing formats cannot recover details already lost in an earlier conversion.
