Image Resizer
Resize JPG, PNG and WebP images directly in your browser.
Fit keeps proportions inside the chosen bounds. Crop fills the exact size with a centered crop. Stretch can distort the image. Percentage mode scales each original instead.

Resize images online
Resize JPG, PNG and WebP images by exact pixel dimensions or by percentage. HandyKitz processes your images locally in your browser, so your files are never uploaded to our server.
Keep the original aspect ratio
Choose Fit inside to preserve the whole image without stretching, or Crop to fill to keep proportions while trimming edges. Link width and height while editing to calculate one input dimension from the other.
Resize by percentage
You can also scale an image relative to its original dimensions. For example, 50% produces an image with half the original width and half the original height.
Practical example
Change pixel dimensions to fit an image into a layout. Choose Fit inside to keep the whole image in proportion; use linked width and height fields to calculate matching inputs.
For one 1600 × 1200 image, set the width to 800 with width and height linked: the height becomes 600. Scaling that image to 50% gives the same 800 × 600 dimensions.
Resize presets: fit, crop or stretch
Choose square 1080 × 1080, portrait 1080 × 1350, tall portrait 1080 × 1920, HD or Full HD. Fit inside preserves the whole image and may produce smaller dimensions than the preset; Crop to fill creates the exact dimensions with a centered crop.
For a 1600 × 1200 image and a 1080 × 1080 preset, Fit inside produces 1080 × 810. Crop to fill produces 1080 × 1080 by trimming the sides. Stretch forces the exact dimensions and may distort the subject.
Frequently asked questions
Will enlarging a photo recover missing detail?
No. Upscaling interpolates existing pixels and can look softer; it does not reconstruct detail absent from the original.
Why is my resized file not proportionally smaller?
File size also depends on image detail, format and encoding. Halving the width does not guarantee that the file uses half the bytes.
How do pixel settings apply to images of different sizes?
Fit inside preserves each image within the chosen bounds, so landscape and portrait results can differ. Crop to fill and Stretch use the exact target dimensions. Percentage mode scales each original independently.
