Practical example
Cropping removes parts of an image to change its framing. It is different from resizing, which changes dimensions across the whole image.
For a square profile picture, select the 1:1 ratio and position the crop over the subject. The area outside the square is discarded in the downloaded result.

Why do crop dimensions differ from the preview size?
The preview is scaled to fit the screen. The downloaded crop is calculated from the original image pixels and rounded to whole pixels.
Can I crop several images together?
This cropper edits one image at a time. Load the next image after downloading the current result.
Does cropping overwrite the original file?
No. The tool creates a new downloadable image from the selected area. Keep the original if you may want a different crop later.
